Since our founding in 2006, Home Waters has been synonymous with the marketing and sale of waterfront and recreational properties in Michigan's vacation areas. Over that time we've forged very strong relationships with many of our clients who also have commercial interests in the region.  Over time more and more of those customers asked us to represent them in their commercial ventures and we recognized a need in the region for high quality real estate services in the commercial segment.  So here we are!  Home Waters Commercial.  From leasing a small space for your new start up to developing a large piece of land into a multi-use community, we want to guide you through the process.  

The process of building out all the necessary tools for our commercial clients began by creating the most complete commercial search available in northern Michigan.  With data pulled from six different MLS systems, users can search properties for sale or lease and get exactly the results they want in just a few clicks.

While a background in residential sales is essential to any strong commercial real estate effort, it also requires a unique understanding of construction and business that is not necessary to carry out residential transactions.  With this in mind, each agent who represents HomeWaters Commercial is required to complete a number of hours of continuing education courses geared specifically toward commercial.  They are also required to take part in continuing training and relationship building toward the commercial end of our industry.  We've assembled a very talented, experienced team anxious to help in any way possible with your commercial needs across northern Michigan.

For more than 20 years, Chad has been a leader within the real estate industry in northern Michigan.  He's held a number of leadership roles within the various MLS systems and REALTOR Associations helping to move the industry forward through data consolidation and policy changes all geared toward advancing an industry often times opposed to change.  He's founded and grown two successful real estate companies since becoming licensed in 1999.  The most recent of which is HomeWaters Real Estate which celebrated 15 years in business as of Novemer 2021.  Together with his wife and business partner, Mandy, they've grown HomeWaters into a company with more than 450 transactions each year and annual sales exceeding $100,000,000.  The core driving force behind the company has been to provide a tailored experience for each client's needs and that's exactly the purpose behind HomeWaters Commercial.

Joseph Sarafa, REALTOR, HomeWaters Commercial

Joseph joined HomeWaters in 2019 to add residential and commercial sales experience to his already robust real estate resume.  Working together with his father, Joe Sarafa, through their family company, Envision Development, Joseph has been a part of some of the largest real estate development projects in the region.  Most prominently, they redeveloped the Buffalo Ridge Center on Traverse City's west side bringing The AMC theater, Lucky's Market (now Oryana west), and Hobby Lobby to the development.  More recently they served as the developers of the 4Front Credit Union building at the corner of Front and Pine, The West Shore Bank buildling at Boardman and Eight Streets and are currently under devleopment on the Common Grounds building at that same location.  In additon, Joseph currently manages more than 70 commercial tenants occupying more than 580,000 square feet of space.
