About Long Lake (Grand Traverse)

With its crystal clear water and hard packed sand bottom, Long Lake is one of the area's finest, largest (2,860 acres) and most desirable all-sports lakes. At seven miles long and three miles wide with five islands (Goat, Picnic, Oleson, South, and Fox), two boat launches and two public beaches, Long Lake is a favorite of locals and vacationers alike.
