The Sleeping Bear Resort is a one-of-a-kind “Up North Rustic Luxury Retreat”. It is perfectly situated 15-miles west of Lake Michigan and 15-miles east of Traverse City. It is located near the quiet and scenic village of Lake Ann. Nestled among towering pines, oaks, and maples this gem boasts 450-feet of private westerly facing frontage on pristine Herendeene Lake. This 36-acre no-wake lake is mostly undeveloped. Reaching depths of 37-feet, it is home to 7 different species of fish and connects to 12-acre Fuller Lake. The lake temperature usually stays between 75-80 degrees all summer long. This highly profitable resort is made up of 3 separate parcels (7680 The Lodge, 7640 The Bear’s Den, and 7670 6 Cabins). The Lodge is a 2288 sq. ft hand-hewn log home with 5 bedrooms-sleeping 10. It has 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a recreational room for fun indoor play. Its custom-made cabinetry and furniture have been intricately carved by local artisans. The Bear’s Den is a 3136 sq ft cedar shake/knotty pine farmhouse with 6 bedrooms-sleeping for 12. It has 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a multi-purpose room that accommodates large groups for dining, meetings and perfect for corporate retreats. There are also 6 cabins (cabin 1, 4, 5 have two-bedrooms / cabin 2, 3, 6 have one-bedroom). All cabins have their gathering area with picnic table, BBQ grill, and private firepit. All cabins are heated for the colder nights as well as cooled by window air conditioners for client’s comfort. The clean and cozy cabins are fully furnished with all the kitchen amenities. They also have Roku smart TV’s. The cabins share a courtyard area with a children’s playset, shuffleboard court, basketball court, and swinging chairs and gliders. The grounds are magical… where it’s common place to see loons, eagles, deer, and other wildlife. Everything is in place for new owners, including a world class booking/management software system, cleaning crews, and maintenance.
